Our Volunteer Co-ordinator, Elisha Kyne, thanks all our volunteers on behalf of The Nelson Trust during Volunteers’ Week.
“We want to say a huge thank you to every volunteer who has supported The Nelson Trust over the last year. Across all our services, volunteers gave a whopping 6,800 hours!
There have been huge efforts across all the different teams and projects that uphold our services and provide the foundation of our work at The Nelson Trust.
We have seen volunteers support us in the regeneration of our Gloucester Women’s Centre, the changeover to our new deli service at The Clean Plate café and continued support to the lively Sober Parrot café, as well as new volunteer tutors and our ever growing team of peer mentors.
We have seen strength from our volunteer counsellors and continued dedication from all of our volunteers supporting our outreach services at our Women’s Centres.
Whilst the last couple of months have been challenging and we have had to reduce a number of our services, we have been encouraged by the support and understanding and want to thank every single volunteer for their patience over the last couple of months.
As we start to open up services and continue to provide essential services in the community, we look forward to welcoming old and new volunteers and to continue creating new and exciting projects.”
