Women’s Safety Keyworker – Domestic Abuse, Gloucester (Female)

Do you have a commitment to making a difference to women’s lives? Are you passionate about supporting women in a holistic, women centred, trauma-informed way to divert women away from the Criminal Justice System and to achieve long-term lasting change? We are looking for a knowledgeable and empathetic person to support women who have experienced domestic abuse. This role will involve, partnership building and key working. You will manage your own case load, providing a range of support interventions to women who have complex support needs. The post involves providing, advocacy and advice, offering both one to one practical and emotional support and targeted interventions which address the needs of the women, with the aim of safeguarding, raising self-esteem, self-efficacy and enhancing social and recovery capital. You will need to demonstrate good communication skills working with clients and professionals and will have a track record of developing effective partnerships with specialist organisations in the local area as well as a commitment to working within a women centred service and to making a differences to vulnerable women’s' lives.
Hours: 28 Hours per week, Mon - Fri, (flexibility to work outside of working hours as required)
Holidays: 25 days holiday pa plus statutory
Salary: £21,000 - £23,000 per annum
Pension: Auto enrolment pension (6% employer contribution)

Due to the nature of the work carried out in our Women’s Centres this role is restricted to female applicants only in accordance with the provisions of the occupational requirement (Equality Act 2010, pursuant to Schedule 9, Part 1).

**This is a 6 month fixed term contract to June 2022**
