Domestic Abuse Residential Late and Night Support Workers-Female

The Nelson Trust has an exciting opportunity for a confident and ambitious individual to join a new and exciting pilot project providing a safe space and intensive support to vulnerable women facing complex needs and domestic abuse. The project will deliver 24/7 support led by a team of specialist support workers trained in gender-responsive trauma-informed care. The team will consistently use a trauma-informed, women-centred approach to engage and provide the most effective package of support including a programme of day support at The Nelson Trusts Women’s Centre. We are looking for late and night support workers who have a strong understanding of the challenges women face and the support required to enable a journey of recovery, including safe women’s only supported housing. Working on a 7 day rolling rota to include including weekends and bank holidays?
Hours: Various shift options available: to include some weekends and bank holidays on a rolling rota Late Shifts: 4pm to 10pm Night Shifts: 10pm – 8am Or double shifts 4pm to 8am (2 or 3 shifts per week on a rolling rota)
Holidays: 25 days pro rata per annum
Salary: £21,000 pa
Pension: Auto Enrolment Pension (6% employer contribution)

This position is a 12 month fixed term contract

Due to the nature of the work carried out in our Women’s Services this role is restricted to female applicants only in accordance with the provisions of the occupational requirement (Equality Act 2010, pursuant to Schedule 9, Part 1).
