Senior Peer Support Coordinator – Perinatal Mental Health

Are you passionate about supporting women to use their own personal experiences of mental health, substance misuse and domestic abuse challenges to help other women in their recovery? Are you an experienced senior who thrives when supporting a small team to achieve positive outcomes for the women they support? if so we want to hear from you. This exciting role is an opportunity to be part of an innovative project where as senior peer support coordinator – perinatal mental health you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of women by establishing a peer support programme, providing training and ongoing supervision to peer supporter who will work alongside your key working team. You will manage a small team (2 x engagement workers) who will provide wrap around support and intervention to women experiencing mental health and complex challenges in the peri-natal period. The ideal candidate will be adept in engaging women and building trusting relationships, proactive with previous leadership experience. Hours: 35 Hours Per Week
Holidays: 25 days holiday pro rata pa plus statutory
Salary: £23,000 pa
Pension: Auto enrolment pension (6% employer contribution)

This Position is a 12 Month fixed term contract.

Due to the nature of the work carried out in our Women’s Centres this role is restricted to female applicants only in accordance with the provisions of the occupational requirement (Equality Act 2010, pursuant to Schedule 9, Part 1).
