Criminal Justice Recovery Coordinator

Are you passionate about supporting women in a holistic, women centred, trauma-informed way to divert women away from the Criminal Justice System and to achieve long-term lasting change? As part of the exciting Government initiative to tackle drug-related crime and reduce drug-related deaths, Nelson Trust are recruiting for a new female criminal justice recovery team who are passionate about supporting women. You will provide intensive support for women in the community who are misusing substances and are in contact with the criminal justice system. You will also provide in-reach support to women who are currently in HMP Eastwood Park and planning to return to the Swindon area. You will assist in establishing a clear pathway for support upon their release. You will also be proactive in enhancing opportunities for women to access residential rehab placements on release from custody. This exciting role is an opportunity to be part of an innovative partnership approach between The Nelson Trust and Turning Point. Turning Point and Nelson Trust have partnered to provide community support to Women experiencing substance misuse who have additional complex needs. The post holder will work within the IMPACT service and will be co-located across Nelson Trust and Turning point sites.
Hours: Full Time 35 hours per week (flexibility to work outside of normal working hours as required)
Holidays: 25 days holiday pa plus statutory
Salary: £21,000 - £23,000 pa dependant on experience
Pension: Auto Enrolment Pension (6% employer/2% employee )

Due to the nature of the work carried out in our Women’s Centres this role is restricted to female applicants only in accordance with the provisions of the occupational requirement (Equality Act 2010, pursuant to Schedule 9, Part 1).
