If so, the Nelson Trust have an exciting opportunity for an adult apprentice to join the Team at our Women’s Centre.
This is for an 18 month period which, if successful, will result in the achievement of an Adult Care Apprenticeship including a level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care.
This new apprenticeship scheme supports progression into employment, for individuals who have lived experience / expert by experience. Lived experience of having been through the criminal justice system, or other associated vulnerabilities is essential and this should be declared on the application form. Anything that is declared will need to be assessed and considered via the Trust’s Pre-Employment recruitment checks processes before employment can be confirmed. Disclosure need not necessarily be a bar to obtaining this position.
The successful candidate will be supported by the Trust to achieve a level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care, through the Apprenticeship Programme. The starting salary will be at £17,650. You will be supported to complete the full Apprenticeship within 18 months.
This Level 2 qualification forms the first step in the career development pathway for those joining the Trust who are wishing to progress their career.
At The Nelson Trust we are committed to the development of a gender responsive service for women experiencing multiple, complex needs in contact with the Criminal Justice System. This role will involve, partnership building and one to one advocacy and support for women who are referred to the service by partner organisations.
You will need to demonstrate good communication skills working with clients and professionals and will have a track record of developing effective partnerships with specialist organisations in the local area as well as a commitment to working within a women centred service and to making a difference to the lives of women and their children.
Full Time: 35 hours per week
25 days holiday pa plus statutory
Auto Enrolment Pension (6% employer/2% employee )
