A Crafty Collaboration

The Hub Academy is excited to announce its new initiative to break down barriers and get creative. We have been funded by Thriving Communities to create a wall hanging to signify the end of isolation and encourage creative community spirit. Using our website to sign up, you will be able to choose from a selection of our embroidery design packs!

We have already had local members of our community sign up and would love you to get involved too. Lockdown has been a necessary but difficult challenge for many of us, as an industry we have noticed the effects of isolation from family, friends and colleagues. This initiative by the Hub Academy is a welcome celebration to encourage the eventual move forward, out of lockdown.

We will send you a free pack with worksheets to help guide you. It doesn’t matter if you are a beginner or experienced. The packs will include everything you need.

Included in the pack is a prepaid envelope for you to return your wonderful creations to us. When you have created your pieces we will add them to final wall hanging and when restrictions have been lifted we look forward to welcoming you here to see what we have all created.

The Hub Academy is our creative powerhouse, a fully equipped building with modern training rooms and bright open workshops. The Hub excels at offering a range of creative, practical, educational and therapeutic courses. Looking towards the future we hope to reopen fully enabling us to enhance learning and personal development for The Nelson Trust’s clients and the local community.
